For anyone considering organizing their own event or just curious to know what order things are falling in, how are decisions being made, what problems and difficulties are coming up, and what answers and skills have been gained in the organizing of this event, Art in the Streets is here!
Art in the Streets was started really because I saw tons of other people facing the same problems I did, Art in the Streets is building itself up to be a resource for others, to make the process of making art, especially public art.

Appropriate Response is empowering because it's allowing individuals to learn by doing, while working to support a politically responsible and sensitive community. Hopefully you will find this exhibit inspiring, and this page an indication that it is entirely possible for you to organize, from scratch, a show of your own.
My apologies for not keeping this updated. Turns out that organizing's been so much fun I'm not getting any time to talk about it.
Check back post-event for an in-depth e-zine on the nitty gritty of planning and putting on of A R.
